In my last post, I mentioned that you are closer to nature than you might imagine in the city because you're walking a lot. But, of course, you can get close to nature easily in the Midwest. You just have to drive to it. Here's a picture of my sister-in-law rescuing a bird that has knocked itself silly trying to get out of a barn. (We were touring Yew Dell Gardens in Louisville.) Catching a bird. Now that's pretty close to nature.
The bird revived itself and flew away. My brother thinks, since it's a barn swallow, it probably flew right back in when we left.
